Bitzer Semi-Hermetic Piston Compressor

1. Working Principle:

  • Reciprocating Piston Action: The core of its operation is the reciprocating (back-and-forth) motion of pistons inside cylinders. An electric motor drives a crankshaft, which converts the motor's rotational force into the linear motion of the pistons. This action creates a pressure difference, sucking in low-pressure refrigerant gas and then compressing it to a high-pressure, high-temperature state before discharging it.

  • Semi-Hermetic Sealed Design: The compressor motor and the compression mechanism are housed together within a single, bolted enclosure. This design allows the internal components, such as pistons, valves, and the motor, to be accessible for maintenance and repair by unbolting the housing, while simultaneously preventing refrigerant and oil from leaking from the system during normal operation.
